First time watching Top Gun after we noticed him starting it last night on B’s phone. “JET! JET!”
This is proof enough that Matthew is MY BOY! He may not look like me, but he sure has the same taste as me in movies and awesome JETS!

Happy Thoughts for a Happy Friday!
Matthew got to see his second cousins today – and he had fun! H is just 5 days older than him, which is super fun! F just had her 6th birthday. My cousin and I were hanging out in the kitchen when F hollered, “I’m surrounded by babies over here!” We ran in to find this:

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday – Outside Toy is Now an Inside Toy
I just cannot say “no” to this cute little man! He found this in the garage yesterday and now it’s in the house, per his insistence 😉
It WAS supposed to stay in the mudroom.
BUT… I was convinced to let it into the freshly cleaned house!
(Almost) Wordless Wednesday – Busy Day!
We had a busy Tuesday – we had a morning play date with “Westie your Bestie” (twin brother to Vera, Matthew’s girlfriend), then lunch with Aggie and her little friend at CFWHG, and then a 2.5 hour nap (thank GOD because the 1.5 hour naps from the last two days have NOT been enough). Matthew woke up happy and, for the first time, noticing the baby pictures on the wall above his crib (“Who’s That?”). Precious! We then grabbed a snack, milk, and water to come back to watch the L.or.ax. He’s LOVED it = Good day for all! B was at a work event tonight so Matthew and I ate dinner together (lots of leftovers are gone now!) and then he climbed all over me for about 30 minutes on the floor. Great ending to a fun, busy day!

THIS Moment in Time (#14)
Everyone gets loves and snuggles when Matthew is up from his nap!
(Please disregard the unmatching pillows on the floor – we got NEW BEDDING this weekend and need to get the shams to match now!)
The Monday Snapshot – BUSES!
Matthew’s favorite siting, in the entire world right now, is a school bus! If it’s parked, it’s awesome. If it’s moving, it’s even better. If there are more than one on the road, it’s life-altering 😉 We have a school just down the road from us that usually has 1-6 buses parked out back at any given time. We drive by to “see the buses” at least once a day. If we come to the “bus intersection” with Matthew in the car, he promptly instructs us where he wants us to take him. It’s quite cute, and we usually oblige him because – well – he’s cute 😉
The other day, the buses were parked in a way that I could get a picture of Matthew gazing at them, with them in the background. YAY! This obsession is documented for all time!

Wordless Wednesday – Eating Stickers Always SEEMS Like a Good Idea (YUCK!)
Matthew got not one, but TWO stickers from the receptionist yesterday at the OB. They were both promptly inserted into his mouth, which he promptly wanted removed 🙂
The Monday Snapshot – Booster Launch!
We had no food for dinner in the house tonight (how is that possible after a trip to Wh.ole Fo.ods yesterday?) and B welcomed me up from my nap with an announcement: “Let’s have an early dinner – I’m starving. The grocery store buffet (which is honestly quite good!) or Micky’s?” This was music to my ears as we hadn’t left the house all day. We had freezing ran the first half of the day and it just felt good to stay in. But it was time to get out.
All of us were in our “stay at home” clothes but we did not care. We packed up some fruit for Matthew, loaded ourselves into the car, and headed to dinner. This place is awesome for families – super good food (for bar food) and lots of room for Matthew to stretch his legs. BUT – they only have two low tables that accommodate high chairs and when we got there, a large party had put them both together. HMMMMM…. what to do? We decided to try out the booster chair for the FIRST time.
Big boy status!
We ditched the booster rather quickly and just let him sit on the bench with us, but it was fun to try and honestly, dinner went really well. Matthew ate more than he’s eaten while out to dinner in a long time (an entire large chicken breast, three thick tomato slices, a lot of cottage cheese, and some fruit). I wonder if the freedom made him more interested in coming back to eat his meal? Who knows, but it was great!
I don’t usually put him in outfits like this, but this one just kills me. I think it’s adorabel!
