We had a busy Tuesday – we had a morning play date with “Westie your Bestie” (twin brother to Vera, Matthew’s girlfriend), then lunch with Aggie and her little friend at CFWHG, and then a 2.5 hour nap (thank GOD because the 1.5 hour naps from the last two days have NOT been enough). Matthew woke up happy and, for the first time, noticing the baby pictures on the wall above his crib (“Who’s That?”). Precious! We then grabbed a snack, milk, and water to come back to watch the L.or.ax. He’s LOVED it = Good day for all! B was at a work event tonight so Matthew and I ate dinner together (lots of leftovers are gone now!) and then he climbed all over me for about 30 minutes on the floor. Great ending to a fun, busy day!

“Westie his Bestie” being a good sharer!

Ahhh… Lorax time. So fun!

Having heaps of fun together!

Hi, there, I’m Courtney. I never planned to stay home with my kids, but I got sucked into motherhood when my first baby came into our lives after years of infertility and multiple rounds of IVF. His brother followed closely behind, something we didn’t plan on after having such a rough road with achieving parenthood the first time around. My boys are IVF cycle twins, conceived on the same day but born two years and one day apart (they were both transferred on the same day in October, but with two years between them). My boys are the best of friends and my husband is a terrific husband, father, and most importantly… friend. He fully supported my desire to stay home (“I just wanted it to be your idea and not mine, I totally want you to stay home and raise our kids!”) and encourages me in everything I do.
I am a lover of projects, spreadsheets, fitness, healthy cooking and eating, crafts, selling my stuff on FB (HA!), and the outdoors. If I’m active, I’m pretty darn happy!

This sounds like such a great (busy) day! I love the photos. Him laying on the bed.. he looks like such a big boy just hanging out watching his movie!!! Glad he loved it. I still haven’t seen that one but want to when Alidia is a bit bigger to enjoy it too. And the last photo of you two playing, so sweet. Perfect ending indeed 🙂

He just started laying down to watch movies, and I think it’s just precious! Lids will LOVE this movie… very colorful and musical!

Awwwww! Sounds like a great day. I’ve got to check out The Lorax movie. I’ve read that book to every classes I’ve ever taught (yep, in high school!)
And Weston’s sweater is AMAZING! Is it handmade? Get the pattern and I’ll make two! One for HGB and one for M and they can hand them down!

His sweater is amazing, isn’t it??? Unfortunately, it is not hand-made. And it’s crazy expensive (I saw it at the store months ago, and promptly put it back!). His aunt buys him and his sister crazy things – all the things we love but won’t spend our own money on. HA!
I am surprised at how much I like the Lor.ax! Great movie!

Ya know, I woke up this morning and read a post about becoming a SAHM and I commented on my doubts on if I can do it or not. After reading this post it reassures me that I do think I can do it…and I WANT to do it. What a fun day for you two.

Oh, Steph! You would LOVE it! It’s an adjustment, but so worth it! If it’s what you want, I hope you make it happen!

Looks like a lovely day….I’ve done a good job getting Raegan to ignore the TV. Now if I try to put something “kid” friendly on, she won’t even bother to look at the screen…I may have over done the whole making her immune to it 🙂 Maybe she’s just still too young to “get it.” But I love the play time….makes me so grateful to have this time with Raegan….

Matthew didn’t “get it” until a month or so ago. He’d watch about 10 minutes of CG and that was it. Now, he’ll sit through a bit more. He plays and plays and plays while the TV is on, but when they sing a song, he zones in and dances!
Enjoy the playtime!
