Holy crap!! This is a lot of information (but great information for someone to reference) and I can’t believe you have it all written down. What am I saying, of course I can believe it. Even with some insurance coverage, there is no way we would have been able to go the route of IVF if needed. It is so dang expensive!! Thanks for adding this to your blog.
January 14, 2013 at 9:34 pm
This used to all be in a spreadsheet (of course it was) and i thought it may be worth sharing in case someone is interestested. I think it’s amazing what the cost difference is between what’s billed, and what’s negotiated. How do people pay the full prices???
February 21, 2013 at 4:09 pm
May I ask how much of the insurance rate did you have to pay out of pocket? Did insurance pay for all of it or did you have to pay some? My DH and I are in the process of looking into IVF when I came across your blog and this information. It’s quite a process to understand everything to make the most informed decision. Thanks in advance.

We paid nothing out of pocket, which I know is not common. We were very lucky and fortunate to have all of these costs covered by insurance. Our insurance has changed since then, and if we were doing this now, we would have paid our deductible first, then 10% of costs until our out of pocket max was met.
