I was super conscious of my outfits all week – I wanted to put forth an effort every day. It was fun!

It was a fun week!

Hi, there, I’m Courtney. I never planned to stay home with my kids, but I got sucked into motherhood when my first baby came into our lives after years of infertility and multiple rounds of IVF. His brother followed closely behind, something we didn’t plan on after having such a rough road with achieving parenthood the first time around. My boys are IVF cycle twins, conceived on the same day but born two years and one day apart (they were both transferred on the same day in October, but with two years between them). My boys are the best of friends and my husband is a terrific husband, father, and most importantly… friend. He fully supported my desire to stay home (“I just wanted it to be your idea and not mine, I totally want you to stay home and raise our kids!”) and encourages me in everything I do. I am a lover of projects, spreadsheets, fitness, healthy cooking and eating, crafts, selling my stuff on FB (HA!), and the outdoors. If I’m active, I’m pretty darn happy!

Really cute outfits! And you look so slim!

It’s so funny to me that you wear short jeans. You didn’t seem short to me in person at all? What is your inseam? I’m 5’8″ and my inseam is 33″ (POST-drying) so I always end up buying longs! Fun to see your outfits!

I know, it’s nuts. I’m 5’7 and need petite skirts and shorter pants. I think I’m a 30″ inseam. I should know this, I know every other measurement.
So I bought some new stuff that I need to post and the designer gals were FRUSTRATED with my broad shoulders. “How can you need short pants and small tops everywhere but your shoulders?”. There were so many things they flat out said no to because of my funky proportions. I’m an upside down A shape, based on measurements, with short legs. But I’m 5’7. It’s rough. Add in my show size (11-11.5 NARROW) and shopping is not fun.

You look fantastic! Love this and have been thinking of trying this myself. I really like that stripped top you wore on Wednesday! Since it is the most fitted top it really shows off your slim waist!

sorry for delayed response I can’t get flash on my phone. LOVED the distressed boyfriends and the keds, loved the nautical stripe (you can never own too many stripes) and loved the colour of the score from neighbour 🙂 you look lovely and healthy and happy. Fashionista is born!

Love it! I really want some distressed boyfriend jeans now, too, although I fear they might just make me look wide… I’ll have to see what I can find in the States. I love that combo though – the jeans and keds. Cute!!
And, damn, girl, you are looking TINY!

Thanks! I gained 5 pounds this past weekend on vacation. Ha ha! Pizza, fries, drinks, ugh.
The boyfriend cut makes everyone look wide. I really don’t love them for the look, but they are so comfortable.

Yeah, I was wondering about that – the boyfriend fit. They seem baggy and that is not a good look on me (something I remember my mom telling me all through high school when I was trying to “hide” myself next to all my skinny friends, but I didn’t learn how to dress my body until much, much later). But I love the relaxed look and the distressing.
