Hi, there, I’m Courtney. I never planned to stay home with my kids, but I got sucked into motherhood when my first baby came into our lives after years of infertility and multiple rounds of IVF. His brother followed closely behind, something we didn’t plan on after having such a rough road with achieving parenthood the first time around. My boys are IVF cycle twins, conceived on the same day but born two years and one day apart (they were both transferred on the same day in October, but with two years between them). My boys are the best of friends and my husband is a terrific husband, father, and most importantly… friend. He fully supported my desire to stay home (“I just wanted it to be your idea and not mine, I totally want you to stay home and raise our kids!”) and encourages me in everything I do. I am a lover of projects, spreadsheets, fitness, healthy cooking and eating, crafts, selling my stuff on FB (HA!), and the outdoors. If I’m active, I’m pretty darn happy!

Your side of the relationship is the only part of it you can control. Way to be giving and loving with it.

This is true wisdom right here. What you said here will be carried with me always. Thank you!

I myself have been thinking about what to do for Father’s Day since I most certainly had a similar Mother’s Day to yours. And considering the situation I’m currently in, my family has advised against me doing something, but I can’t do that. He is my children’s father and though he isn’t around all that much, it still deserves to be recognized. You’re a fabulous mom and an even more wonderful wife! Miss you lady!

You know that I support you doing something, even if just a card, for C. After the mothers days you and I just had, I am even more in favor of recognizing parents for the jobs they do!

That made me smile. It’s not the easy choice to make but I’m sure it’s a good one.

I can’t hold a grudge… Which is a good thing! Someone has to forgive and move on, right?!

🙂 You are a wonderful wife and mama. I think you made the right choice. Hope he realizes that too.

Thank you! It’s not in me to “return in kind,” as my dad says. I think doing that only sends you down a slippery slope. 😉

this makes me smile. Love that you (and your boys) did this.

It was fun! And a TOTAL rip-off idea from the packaging that came with the canvas! Ha!
