The first day of spring may have technically been March 20th, but as far as I’m concerned, it was Friday! This time last year, taking daily walks was part of our routine. This year, it’s been too cold. On Friday, it was beautiful outside so after a nap strike, I decided we were going to the park! We were there for an hour – and it was the best hour of our week! The only thing that would have made it better would have been if B could be there too (he was flying home from an overnight trip to NYC for work – ugh!). We sent him this picture (and many more) to help him feel like he wasn’t missing out! (B took Matthew to the park the next day!)

Slowing him down for a quick photo!

Hi, there, I’m Courtney. I never planned to stay home with my kids, but I got sucked into motherhood when my first baby came into our lives after years of infertility and multiple rounds of IVF. His brother followed closely behind, something we didn’t plan on after having such a rough road with achieving parenthood the first time around. My boys are IVF cycle twins, conceived on the same day but born two years and one day apart (they were both transferred on the same day in October, but with two years between them). My boys are the best of friends and my husband is a terrific husband, father, and most importantly… friend. He fully supported my desire to stay home (“I just wanted it to be your idea and not mine, I totally want you to stay home and raise our kids!”) and encourages me in everything I do.
I am a lover of projects, spreadsheets, fitness, healthy cooking and eating, crafts, selling my stuff on FB (HA!), and the outdoors. If I’m active, I’m pretty darn happy!

Love this photo of you two!! 🙂 I am glad you got to have that lovely time at the park… and B got to make up for it the following day too!

Thanks! B took him all by himself, and he really enjoyed it!

You guys are adorable. I also love the quintescential toddler face on Matthew – always looking for a new place to which to bolt. 😉

Looks like you’re relishing the moment with your son, so enjoying the time out. It won’t be long before you can spend that time outside at the park in shorts and tank tops! How great that will be!

Shorts and tank tops seem so far away… but you’re right – it’s just around the corner. THANK GOODNESS!!!!

UGH! I’m so mad the weather was so perfect this weekend and I had to work. I missed all the good weather and I’m 100% sure Babe didn’t take Rae out at all 😦 This picture is fabulous and perfectly captures the beginning of spring!

Thanks! Hey – spring is here, so there are plenty more opportunities to get her to the park. But I get it – if I can’t get him out, I want someone else to!
