All the Sun For You

A mom, two boys, a husband, and a whole lot of adventure!

I’m Not Blue

I walked out of the clinic today with the diagnosis of a “perfect, thick lining” and no prescription in hand for smurf pills.

Transfer is set for 2:00 next Friday.  I have a 2 hour massage booked beforehand.

This cycle is going better than I assumed it would  😉

No blue lady bits for me this time, thank you very much!

Hi, there, I’m Courtney. I never planned to stay home with my kids, but I got sucked into motherhood when my first baby came into our lives after years of infertility and multiple rounds of IVF. His brother followed closely behind, something we didn’t plan on after having such a rough road with achieving parenthood the first time around. My boys are IVF cycle twins, conceived on the same day but born two years and one day apart (they were both transferred on the same day in October, but with two years between them). My boys are the best of friends and my husband is a terrific husband, father, and most importantly… friend. He fully supported my desire to stay home (“I just wanted it to be your idea and not mine, I totally want you to stay home and raise our kids!”) and encourages me in everything I do. I am a lover of projects, spreadsheets, fitness, healthy cooking and eating, crafts, selling my stuff on FB (HA!), and the outdoors. If I’m active, I’m pretty darn happy!

  1. Wahoo!! Excellent news, and the massage sounds devine! Get some good movies/books/snack food for next weekend when you get to be lazy and hang out in bed all day!

  2. Wahoo!!! Good Lord Smurfette is a cutie. That wouldn’t have been so bad to have a blue… well, shit, nevermind. YAY for no estrace!

  3. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Hurray for regular-coloured vagina goop!

And HUZZAH for a perfect lining!

  4. Thanks for the update! Been wondering how it was going 🙂

  5. Good to hear!!! I’ll be thinking of you next Friday as I go in for my monitoring appointment….I will probably be about a week behind you….and thank goodness you won’t be blue. SRB’s comment made me spew coke out my nose….I swear these FET cycles are a breeze! If only I could guarantee to get a positive result….

  6. That’s awesome! A massage sounds glorious!

  7. Wooohooo!! 2 week wait, here you come!

  8. Yay for a good lining!!! So happy for you! I just had my transfer yesterday – one week difference!

    • Thanks! And I’m sorry I was late to comment on your posts. I’ve been MIA over the weekend. I have my fingers crossed for you! I am happy to see that you’ve had a successful FET in the past. Odds are with you, friend!

  9. Yay for not being blue! And, my word, a two-hour massage sounds amazing. I’ve never had one that long. I think I’d fall asleep FOR SURE.

  10. YAY!!!! here we go!!
