I got my FET calendar in the mail today. I flipped immediately to the transfer day. I was wrong. I am sort of sick about this.

October 12th is Matthew’s day. I’m not ready to share it with anyone else.
If this works, they will have the same due date. I will have a scheduled C-section – and their birthdays will be a couple days apart.
I could cry. I know beggars can’t be choosers, but this makes me sad.
B, on the other hand, thinks it may be good luck. Yeah, most of his glasses are half-full 😉

Hi, there, I’m Courtney. I never planned to stay home with my kids, but I got sucked into motherhood when my first baby came into our lives after years of infertility and multiple rounds of IVF. His brother followed closely behind, something we didn’t plan on after having such a rough road with achieving parenthood the first time around. My boys are IVF cycle twins, conceived on the same day but born two years and one day apart (they were both transferred on the same day in October, but with two years between them). My boys are the best of friends and my husband is a terrific husband, father, and most importantly… friend. He fully supported my desire to stay home (“I just wanted it to be your idea and not mine, I totally want you to stay home and raise our kids!”) and encourages me in everything I do.
I am a lover of projects, spreadsheets, fitness, healthy cooking and eating, crafts, selling my stuff on FB (HA!), and the outdoors. If I’m active, I’m pretty darn happy!

LOL, my first thought when I started reading this post was HOW EXCITING!! You had just posted about how October was such a lucky month for you guys and I figured you would have your husband’s reaction to the same transfer day. Even if you would have transferred a couple of days before or after, the birthdays would still have only been a couple of days apart, right? So is that really the issue, or just the transfer day itself? Is your RE flexible with you to let you continue on b.c. pills an extra 3 days early in the process to transfer the following Monday instead?

This is why I blog – to gain perspective. You are right – they would have been a couple days apart no matter what. I was just hoping for more than a day or two. But, I am putting the cart before the horse here since we’re not even sure this will work!

I’m going with GOOD LUCK!

Definitely good luck! Their birthdays would be close no matter what (which could be really cool for mega birthday parties) AND late June a great time to have a birthday–mine’s then :). October 12, October 12, *chant* . . .
