Just a quick thing I want to record. B went on a day trip today for work – just a 2 hour drive from home. He left around 5:30 this morning and was home (met us at Pan.era) at 6:00. Really, this was a normal work day for him, from my perspective. Matthew wakes up after 7:00 now (THANK GOD!) so many mornings, even if B is staying in town (which is the norm), he doesn’t see Matthew in the morning before going to work. But B feels like he’s been gone FOREVER… and he’s crawling around on the floor with Matthew as if he hasn’t seen him in days. There is nothing but joy in our living room right now… and it’s bath time but I don’t want to break up the party 😉
It’s precious.
I feel like the luckiest mom and wife in the world right now! He is such a loving man 🙂

Hi, there, I’m Courtney. I never planned to stay home with my kids, but I got sucked into motherhood when my first baby came into our lives after years of infertility and multiple rounds of IVF. His brother followed closely behind, something we didn’t plan on after having such a rough road with achieving parenthood the first time around. My boys are IVF cycle twins, conceived on the same day but born two years and one day apart (they were both transferred on the same day in October, but with two years between them). My boys are the best of friends and my husband is a terrific husband, father, and most importantly… friend. He fully supported my desire to stay home (“I just wanted it to be your idea and not mine, I totally want you to stay home and raise our kids!”) and encourages me in everything I do.
I am a lover of projects, spreadsheets, fitness, healthy cooking and eating, crafts, selling my stuff on FB (HA!), and the outdoors. If I’m active, I’m pretty darn happy!

Okay, so I love that your husband is awesome, but what I really want to know is what are those cool toys? I want to get something for Mira to stand at and play besides the exersaucer (which she uses from the outside now) but I’m a toy dummy.

The one table is the fisher price Laugh and Learn fun with friends table. It was handed down to us in perfect condition, and Matthew is the third baby to use it. http://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-Laugh-Learn-Friends-Musical/dp/B0015KOOHO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1342575929&sr=8-1&keywords=fisher+price+table
The other one is the bright starts “Around we go activity station” with the walking seat removed. http://www.amazon.com/Bright-Starts-Around-Activity-Station/dp/B002VBXY40/ref=sr_1_6?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1342575972&sr=1-6&keywords=bright+starts+table
I get so many questions about the bright starts one. No one has seen it, yet it has 162 great reviews on Amazon. We got it to give him some mobility before he could walk and it’s been a hit! What I love about it is that it’s still super fun after you take the seat off. This has been the best toy purchase to date.

So sweet!! Those toys are great! I wish I could get Sofi a cozy coupe (right?) but we just don’t have the room. She has a little ride-on car that is her current favorite toy. Well, that and the remote control. 😉
