All the Sun For You

A mom, two boys, a husband, and a whole lot of adventure!

Fitness Update

I finished up an 8 week challenge doing the Beachbody PiYo program.  I loved it!  It was a great program to get myself motivated for tougher challenges to come.  My finishing stats, pics, etc. are here.

I’ve started a new challenge (why not just jump right into another one, right?) just today and am tracking my progress here.  The holidays, especially the 4 days between wrapping up the last challenge and starting this new one, were not kind to me – or rather, I was not kind to myself.  I got a little fluffy.  I had to up my goals for this next challenge so I could get below where I STARTED the last challenge.  HA!

Hi, there, I’m Courtney. I never planned to stay home with my kids, but I got sucked into motherhood when my first baby came into our lives after years of infertility and multiple rounds of IVF. His brother followed closely behind, something we didn’t plan on after having such a rough road with achieving parenthood the first time around. My boys are IVF cycle twins, conceived on the same day but born two years and one day apart (they were both transferred on the same day in October, but with two years between them). My boys are the best of friends and my husband is a terrific husband, father, and most importantly… friend. He fully supported my desire to stay home (“I just wanted it to be your idea and not mine, I totally want you to stay home and raise our kids!”) and encourages me in everything I do. I am a lover of projects, spreadsheets, fitness, healthy cooking and eating, crafts, selling my stuff on FB (HA!), and the outdoors. If I’m active, I’m pretty darn happy!

  1. Good for you. I did well over Christmas but put on about 500gms after new years – I blame my MIL and the bloody baileys 🙂 but back on track now. Unsurprisingly after the m/c the weight started dropping off. Hard to do a 12w challenge when you are surprisingly pregnant for half of it :shrugs shoulders somewhat philosophically:

have started a new 12w challenge as well and aiming to run a 10km in March. I hate running distance I am so darn slow but doing it with girls from my gym. Have also started doing a group PT once a week which is hard.

I keep meaning to update my blog but in a blog funk at the moment. In saying that I do like documenting what I have been doing (what? you are surprised by this! ha ha)
