I did it.
As of this morning, prior to any workouts, water, or food, I weighed 155.6 pounds. I was only expecting to see 156. I hit my 25 pound weight loss goal with a full day of health and exercise ahead. I am shocked!
Even more surprisingly, my body fat is officially down 8%. I’ve lost 23.6% of the fat I was carrying 10 weeks ago. I was shooting for 9-10%, but I’m over the moon with 8%. To lose 10% in 10 weeks, especially being female, is REALLY hard to do. I’ve only seen one woman ever do it, and she started out with a 40% body fat percentage (I started at 33.6/33.8). Regardless, I wish I could have hit 10%. “Hard to do” has never stopped me! 😌
I’ll be posting final stats, before and after pics, and my exercise log on Sunday. Until then, this photo will have to commemorate this day (taken after some serious weight lifting… Still working on that body fat percentage!).
Thank you all for your encouragement here, on myFitnessPal, and via text messages! Fitness is always a team effort!!!

Hi, there, I’m Courtney. I never planned to stay home with my kids, but I got sucked into motherhood when my first baby came into our lives after years of infertility and multiple rounds of IVF. His brother followed closely behind, something we didn’t plan on after having such a rough road with achieving parenthood the first time around. My boys are IVF cycle twins, conceived on the same day but born two years and one day apart (they were both transferred on the same day in October, but with two years between them). My boys are the best of friends and my husband is a terrific husband, father, and most importantly… friend. He fully supported my desire to stay home (“I just wanted it to be your idea and not mine, I totally want you to stay home and raise our kids!”) and encourages me in everything I do.
I am a lover of projects, spreadsheets, fitness, healthy cooking and eating, crafts, selling my stuff on FB (HA!), and the outdoors. If I’m active, I’m pretty darn happy!

Wow, those numbers are fantastic, Court! I can’t even imagine how much better my clothes would fit if I lost 24# in 10 weeks. Eek! I’m around 34-35% body fat right now according to my FitBit scale (ugh) so I definitely have a ways to go, but you’re giving me inspiration that I CAN do this if I put my mind to it. I’m so proud of you!

I have 2 body fat monitoring machines (hand-held and tanita scale). They are different by 8-10% for me (but not for Hottie- weird). Farr.ells uses the hand-held, so I’ve been using that. The tanita has shown the same percentage loss, maybe even more than the hand-held, but shows a higher body fat % than the hand-held. They both have different guidelines for “normal/healthy” and I’m in range on both. My point? Don’t care about the number. Care about the change from your starting number. I’ve seen your recent photos – you look GREAT! If you’re 33/34%, it’s a very healthy 33/34%!
Thanks, Lady!

HA! They’re definitely bigger… not as comfortable for Bryson when he lays in my arms in our bed. Poor baby!

You rock! I wish I had 1/3 of your motivation right now!

It took me a full year post baby #2 to get motivated. It’s not easy with little kids – not at all! And you’re working too – that’s a whole other deal.
