The Monday Snapshot – Rare Photo!

Matthew has become difficult to photograph.  He’s not uncooperative, per se, but he just won’t pose anymore like he used to.  He’s just too busy!  I caught a RARE, genuine smile on camera yesterday and I was THRILLED!  Here it is!

A grand smile resulting from Daddy kisses!

Hi, there, I’m Courtney. I never planned to stay home with my kids, but I got sucked into motherhood when my first baby came into our lives after years of infertility and multiple rounds of IVF. His brother followed closely behind, something we didn’t plan on after having such a rough road with achieving parenthood the first time around. My boys are IVF cycle twins, conceived on the same day but born two years and one day apart (they were both transferred on the same day in October, but with two years between them). My boys are the best of friends and my husband is a terrific husband, father, and most importantly… friend. He fully supported my desire to stay home (“I just wanted it to be your idea and not mine, I totally want you to stay home and raise our kids!”) and encourages me in everything I do. I am a lover of projects, spreadsheets, fitness, healthy cooking and eating, crafts, selling my stuff on FB (HA!), and the outdoors. If I’m active, I’m pretty darn happy!

  1. Awww this is such a perfect photo!!! 🙂 It makes me smile hugely just looking at him. Lids is getting harder to photograph as well because she just does not sit still. About 80% of all photos are now taking in her highchair because it is the only place she is forced to stay somewhat still! 😉 So glad you got this great pic on camera!

  2. It looks like he’s saying “yeeeeaaaah!!” in a loud, raspy voice. I realized I can hardly take photos of Chloe with my phone anymore b/c she’s too fast and it’s too slow. Pretty much all of them are taken on our nice camera with the flash on so she doesn’t turn out being a blurry blob.

  3. I love these shots where you can see their little spirits shine through. Happy boy!

  4. adorable! i looove when I actually get smile on camera!

  5. OMG! What a sweet little face!

  6. What a great smile!
