Cleaning up for the new year!
Author: Courtney
Hi, there, I’m Courtney. I never planned to stay home with my kids, but I got sucked into motherhood when my first baby came into our lives after years of infertility and multiple rounds of IVF. His brother followed closely behind, something we didn’t plan on after having such a rough road with achieving parenthood the first time around. My boys are IVF cycle twins, conceived on the same day but born two years and one day apart (they were both transferred on the same day in October, but with two years between them). My boys are the best of friends and my husband is a terrific husband, father, and most importantly… friend. He fully supported my desire to stay home (“I just wanted it to be your idea and not mine, I totally want you to stay home and raise our kids!”) and encourages me in everything I do. I am a lover of projects, spreadsheets, fitness, healthy cooking and eating, crafts, selling my stuff on FB (HA!), and the outdoors. If I’m active, I’m pretty darn happy!

My little one just looked at this picture as it pulled up and laughed out loud. So, they must understand what a fun bath time is all about:] So cute!

Funny! I love the social world of babies and toddlers. They understand so much more than we think!

Raegan just had her first real bath in a full size tub last night….she was loving the space to play…Matthew looks adorable!

Big baths are the best! Nerve wracking for Mom though – that’s for sure. More space means more room to get in trouble!

Thanks! Bath (and shower) time is his favorite time of day. He likes to be soaked from head to toe!

I LOVE HIM.
When I first started reading your blog I was all “oh, what a cute kid! So much older than my kids. Her life is so different from mine.” Just realized that I started reading you when M was, like, ten months old or something. Omg, we are way past that. My girls are also toddlers and they seem closer in age because those huge developmental gaps start to seem not so huge anymore.
This weird comment brought to you by my brain going “He looks an awful lot like my girls did in the tub tonight.” ❤

HA ha! So do I! 🙂
It’s amazing how they close the gap so quickly. Same thing happened with my friend whose daughter is 4 months older than Matthew. They are so similar now and it’s hard to remember that they’re not the same age.
Your girls looked grown up overnight. You posted a recent photo that made me pause in disbelief. All of our kids are growing up too fast!

LOVE him. What a smile he has!! Bath time is the best!! Sofia cries and flails around when it’s time to get out!

We love him too, and Sofia! 😉
We don’t give him time to think about it. He’s so mellow that he just does as he’s told. That won’t last much longer, I’m sure!
