Fun Foto(s) Friday

So I do not like commercially branded things for my son (to each his own) – like Disn.ey, Dora, etc, but I could not resist this shirt at Ga.p where I found it on clearance (I don’t pay full price for anything there – besides his spring/fall jacket – which was stupid of me). I love this outfit – like – ‘I want to put it on him again tomorrow’ kind of love!

I had my appointment with Dr H so my wonderful neighbor watched Matthew for me. She has 18 month old twins who are Matthew’s little buddies. They were asleep when he got there, but woke up later and he had a ball! He was zonked when I picked him up – he slept almost 3.5 hours for his nap today 🙂

Tomorrow, I think he’ll wear his ‘Captain Amer.ica’ shirt, but we’ll see if the weather supports that idea.

He looks so grown up in this outfit. I think it’s so cute, but it makes me sad too.

Matthew with his buddy, Westin. Matthew went to see Westin and Vera while I went to see Dr. H today. I think he had a good time!

Hi, there, I’m Courtney. I never planned to stay home with my kids, but I got sucked into motherhood when my first baby came into our lives after years of infertility and multiple rounds of IVF. His brother followed closely behind, something we didn’t plan on after having such a rough road with achieving parenthood the first time around. My boys are IVF cycle twins, conceived on the same day but born two years and one day apart (they were both transferred on the same day in October, but with two years between them). My boys are the best of friends and my husband is a terrific husband, father, and most importantly… friend. He fully supported my desire to stay home (“I just wanted it to be your idea and not mine, I totally want you to stay home and raise our kids!”) and encourages me in everything I do. I am a lover of projects, spreadsheets, fitness, healthy cooking and eating, crafts, selling my stuff on FB (HA!), and the outdoors. If I’m active, I’m pretty darn happy!

Matthew looks like he might shoot some webs in that first shot!! And I love that play kitchen. I sososososo want one for Sofia. If only I had that playroom I pine for! 😉

I am the same way, except for me, it’s Batman. I cannot resist Batman.

And there you have it! Your boy is Marvel and mine is DC. Enemies 4 LIFE!

Hahahaha! He’s so friggin’ cute.

I also avoid commercial characters (ESPECIALLY DISNEY PRINCESSES), but I love Batman, Star Wars & Thomas the Tank Engine stuff. No Thomas clothes right now, that I kind of avoid, but we watch the old episodes on YouTune occasionally. (There will be more on that when I write my PAIL Monthly Theme Post soon!)

  I don’t know a thing about Marvel versus DC. What I do know is that I love Batman too – and I’m sure Matthew will too! I also am excited about Star Wars but not so much about Superman.
  
  And here I thought I wouldn’t know what to do with a baby boy 😉

Darling! We are totally with you about the characters. Winnie the Pooh and all that crap is not even allowed in my house. But super heroes are different! They rock!!! 🙂

  I don’t like to say that they’re not “allowed” in our house either – but they’re not. 😉 We’re lucky that our friends know us well enough not to buy anything with commercial characters, including clothes.
