Matthew slept through the night and didn’t get us up at the crack of dawn either! I did not get much sleep because he stirred every hour on the hour, starting at 12:15, and that woke me up. But he put himself back to sleep each time without standing up once! I could not believe it! His final stir was at 5:15 and then he slept until 6:30!!!!!
I cannot keep my eyes open, but I don’t care!
We had one hell of a storm last night. We were stranded a couple times due to flash flooding. My car needs some repairs now, darn it. All is well for us, but there are some pretty banged up neighborhoods around town now. I feel bad for those folks.
I’m off to catch a cat nap now!

Hi, there, I’m Courtney. I never planned to stay home with my kids, but I got sucked into motherhood when my first baby came into our lives after years of infertility and multiple rounds of IVF. His brother followed closely behind, something we didn’t plan on after having such a rough road with achieving parenthood the first time around. My boys are IVF cycle twins, conceived on the same day but born two years and one day apart (they were both transferred on the same day in October, but with two years between them). My boys are the best of friends and my husband is a terrific husband, father, and most importantly… friend. He fully supported my desire to stay home (“I just wanted it to be your idea and not mine, I totally want you to stay home and raise our kids!”) and encourages me in everything I do.
I am a lover of projects, spreadsheets, fitness, healthy cooking and eating, crafts, selling my stuff on FB (HA!), and the outdoors. If I’m active, I’m pretty darn happy!

Wonderful!! I need to do a post of my own but we have also made some progress on the sleep front (please don’t smite me, universe). Sofi is doing great but I’ve been up for hours at a time because I’m just so damn used to being up! Ah, well. Baby steps!!!

That is freakin’ AWESOME. We must have hit the 4 month sleep regression crapola, b/c after sleeping through the night last week, she’s now up EVERY TWO HOURS again like a newborn. I’m dragging ass….

Well…. We’ve hit a snag. He likes getting up in the 4:00 hour now. So he is still fussing once a night at 4:00. It only lasts 15 minutes,
thank g0d. Naps are another story. I almost cried today due to his refusal to nap in his crib. :). This stuff is hard!!!!
